GMR Medical Department

What Is The Medical Departments Function?

  • Establish a good rapport with our Individuals, Families, Case Managers, Medical Team, and Staff Members
  • Medication-ensure Individuals have correct medication in a timely manner.
  • Ensure staff has knowledge about the medication that they are administering and have information on hand regarding side effects
  • Make sure staff is signing Medication Administration Record and documenting correctly
  • Coordinate Doctors visits for Individuals
  • Ensure Individuals attend Doctors appointments that are required by state
  • Make sure Follow Ups are within time frame as stated by Physician on forms
  • Conduct house visits every 90 days.
  • Attend individual’s medical meetings
  • Assist in developing forms and documents for effective record keeping
  • Keeping track and account of medical supplies
  • Assisting with scheduling of trainings and New Hire Orientation

 What Is The Role Of The Medical Coordinator?

  • Maintain Medical Books for individuals
  • Keep Medical Books Current
  • Maintain GMR compliance with Quality Assurance to ensure individuals are current with State requirements for all medical appointments
  • Assist individuals to doctor appointments as needed
  • Respond to Medical Emergencies
  • Conduct Training as needed for GMR Staff
