GMR Direct Support Department

What does the Residential Department Do?

The Residential Department is the "HEART" of  our agency.  It's the department that oversee the Implementation of Sevices as well as the Health and Safety of the individuals we serve and the employees that provide their supports.

  • Monitor the health and safety needs of the individuals we serve.
  • Manage staffing needs of the individuals we serve. (Staffing hours range from drop-in services to 24 hour care).
  • Ensure the welfare and full rights of the individuals we serve.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals daily.
  • Supervise, assist and teach individuals personal care skills as directed per ISP (Individuals Service Plan; also called the My Plan).
  • Services are provided in the individuals home
  • GMR encourages and trains staff to work with the individuals served in the community where they live.
  • Conduct quarterly home visits to ensure Health and Safety
